Los Angeles is famous for its beauty and wellness culture and the prominence of wealth and celebrity in the city, resulting in the rise of luxury wellness services. In 2023, upscale prestige beauty solutions were valued at $31.7 billion in the United States alone, so luxury wellness has become more prominent.

The following four beauty and wellness locations are some of the best, and they opened in Los Angeles last year.

1. Townhouse: A Prestige Nail Salon

Founded in the United Kingdom in 2018, Townhouse opened its first location in Beverly Hills in 2024 as the brand’s 40th salon. Founder Juanita Huber-Millet intends to continue expanding throughout the United States, stating, “We want to bring this elevated experience to every major city in the US.”

Townhouse’s prestige nail salon concept originated from Huber-Millet’s frustrations with unreliable services. She saw an opportunity to focus on high-quality treatments and hygiene standards, knowing clients would pay more for reliable care.

“I wanted to create a space that felt luxurious,” she said, “[where] people wanted to spend time.”

Though prices start at $55 for a color manicure, Townhouse’s consistency and quality have impacted Los Angeles and each of their locations.

2. La Maison Valmont: A Luxury Skincare and Fragrance Brand

While La Maison Valmont’s products and services have been available at The Beverly Hills Hotel spa in Los Angeles and The Carlyle in New York City, the skincare and fragrance brand opened its first stand-alone location in the United States last year. Founded in 1905 by Dr. Henry-Auduste Widmer, the company has grown its boutiques and spa services across Europe and Asia.

“We chose this location [Los Angeles] because it means so much to everyone in Beverly Hills,” CEO Sophie Vann Gullion said, “a place where people are proud to be.”

The Beverly Hills boutique offers high-concentration formulas created in an in-house lab and various facial treatments. The Red Carpet Facial, which costs $850, features diamond microdermabrasion.

3. Hume: A Private Wellness Club

Founded by Sandy Bole and Roger Briggs, Hume was envisioned as a serene space to accommodate various training and recovery environments and solutions. Hume features a private Pilates studio near the beach, cold plunges, steam rooms, saunas, and hyperbaric oxygen chambers.

“The idea at [Hume’s] core was building a beautiful gym and combining it with elements of a traditional bathhouse,” said Briggs.

The community has grown mainly by word of mouth, enjoying popularity despite $395 monthly membership fees and a $500 initial payment.

4. Joanna Czech Studio: A Celebrity Facial Aesthetics Studio

Joanna Czech is a beauty aesthetician who has worked with names like Kim Kardashian, Cara Delvingne, and Bella Hadid. She has stand-alone spas in New York City and Dallas, but until recently, she has only hosted pop-up events in Los Angeles. Now, she has a space in Beverly Hills’ L’Ermitage Hotel. Czech is known for her facial treatments, with her LED facial starting at $450 and her cryo drainage facial and enzymatic restructuring facials starting at $275.

“I opened this studio to create personalized programs for clients, especially in light of major events and ceremonies in LA,” Czech said. “If you get nominated for an award, we still have six weeks or four weeks to prepare you and for you to come back on a weekly basis.”

Luxury Wellness in Los Angeles

These four luxury wellness brands are some of the best in the city, but 2025 is sure to witness new top-quality salons and studios. You can reliably look to these brands for beauty and wellness solutions, but watching for the next brand to enter the scene is essential.
