The Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival is returning this year to offer a lineup of California-based food, beer, and wine. This event features celebrity chefs and Disney characters dressed in their finest food-related attire.
Running from March 1 through April 22, the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival promises to be a fun and delicious event for fans of Disney and great food. With local celebrity and Disney chefs standing by to offer cooking tips during culinary demonstrations, tasting seminars, and signature events, the festival will feature 10 marketplace booths. Disney California Adventure restaurants, eateries, and food stands will also offer Food & Wine festival items. Restaurants and eateries in the outdoor shopping mall next to Disneyland will also be participating in the Food & Wine Festival.
Food & Wine Fest Sip and Savor passes will be back this year and will allow visitors to purchase a prepaid card with eight credits. These are redeemable for individual items at food and beverage stands. Disney has not yet released this year’s prices. However, at the previous event in 2023, these passes cost $59 with a $5 discount for Magic Key annual pass holders. This year’s Sip & Savor cards will use QR codes rather than tear-off tabs.
Disney will also host various culinary experiences during the Food & Wine Festival. These must be booked in advance and will include Trader Sam’s Tiki Mixology Seminars at the Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar on the grounds at the Disney Hotel. This event features lessons in making tropical cocktails. These $159 events will be held three times a day on March 11 and 25 as well as April 8 and 22.
The Carthay Circle Winemaker Receptions at Disney California Adventure’s Carthay Circle restaurant will also feature a selection of wine paired with appetizers. These $175 events will run from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Featured wineries include BAJA Wine on March 15, Lombardi Wines on March 29, and Flora Springs Napa Valley Family Estate on April 12.
Also included will be the Gastronomic Journey at Napa Rose signature event in Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. This sold-out $350 event on April 11 runs from 5:45 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The Walk on the Silverado Trail signature event in the Hearthstone Lounge at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will also take place on April 19 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and will feature a selection of wines from the Silverado Trail that will be paired with food. This event will cost $250.
A variety of tasting and wine seminars will also take place. Reservations are required for each of the $25 events.
During past festivals, Disney has also offered free culinary demonstrations on a first-come, first-served basis. Last year’s event included Alice’s Wonderland Bakery Unbirthday Party cupcake decorating experience, as well as 30-minute step-by-step lessons that focused on a single recipe. Culinary demonstrations by local, celebrity, and Disney chefs also took place.
As of now, Disneyland has not yet announced the lineup of the free culinary demonstrations for the 2024 Food & Wine Festival.
